The TAPFLO diaphragm pump, PE & PTFE series, is a brand of diaphragm pump. The pump body is made of plastic and can be customized with additional accessories according to specific requirements. The PE diaphragm pump exhibits excellent resistance to corrosion, about 6-7 times higher than PP diaphragm pumps and 1.5 times higher than steel. The PTFE diaphragm pump is highly resistant to highly acidic or concentrated fluids, such as concentrated nitric acid, and it performs exceptionally well in resisting corrosion.
The PTFE pump from TAPFLO is made of pure virgin Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material, which is a high-temperature resistant polymer plastic and has excellent resistance to chemical corrosion. It can handle fluids at a maximum temperature of 100 degrees Celsius.

It is designed for use in explosive environments and can be operated in Ex-zone 1. The materials used as electrical conductors ensure that there is no accumulation of static electricity on the pump’s surface. The anti-static properties of the materials reduce surface resistance. The transfer of alcohol or solvents is an example of the applications for ATEX 2014/34/EC standards (also known as ATEX 114). These standards apply to products intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
